The RSI team has worked on a wide range of projects over the past 13 years, during which time we have developed an impressive toolkit of skills to help facilitate the execution of our clients projects.

Carbon Management

— Not all carbon emissions are where you think.

Most of us are familiar with the idea that there is a carbon emission penalty for heating and cooling a home. It takes energy, that energy often has a carbon impact, which is why we want to ensure that our buildings are as energy efficient as possible. Use less energy, emit less carbon. Easy.

But the very act of building, the materials that go into that building, and the way we build it all has a shockingly large carbon impact as well. This is called the “embodied” carbon, and if you don’t account for it you could end up making a building that has a massive carbon deficit that immediately offsets any energy efficiency carbon savings for a decade to come.

Construction Management

— A thousand spinning plates

Getting a construction project completed requires the co-ordination of thousands of complex and inter-related decisions, regulations, parameters, market forces and scheduling requirements. With over a decade of experience in construction, we can help you navigate and optimize this confounding process and ensure that your project gets delivered smoothly and effectively.

Energy Efficiency

— You only get one chance to get it right

We plan our projects with the next 100 years in mind, which is how long we expect our projects to be used for. Through this lens, building anything short of the most energy efficient project is irresponsible.

Our in-house expertise in building science and efficiency best-practices makes sure that we build only the most responsible buildings we can for our clients.
