RSI was approached by Passage Studio to help with the execution of a project that they were working on with Canadian Wildlife Service. The commission was for an interpretive space for the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre. The idea was to create a viewing point for visitors at the Centre to be able to observe migratory birds while minimizing the disruption to the birds natural habitat.
RSI joined mid-way through the design process. This allowed a collaborative process for several weeks of back and forth before arriving at a design that would work within logistical and budgetary limitations.
RSI took over the production of the project. Over many weeks RSI oversaw the supervision of fabrication, orchestration of transportation, securing foundation work, and trouble shooting the installation process. Then finally, when the day came, the RSI team was on site with Passage and members of the Cape Jourimain team to install this remarkable addition to the landscape.
